Models Fall During Fashion Shows

Models FalTwo fashion models were caught on tape falling to the ground during fashion shows in Paris, according to a Local 6 News report.

One of the models fell at British designer Vivienne Westwood’s show and the other at Karl Lagerfeld’s show.

In both cases, the models got up and kept showing their designer clothes, the report said.

Meanwhile, Lagerfeld sent out cropped tunics and skinny jeans in his spring-summer collection for his eponymous label showing Wednesday at Paris Fashion Week.

The German designer, who lost 93 pounds on a strict diet, dismissed a controversy about underweight fashion models as “grotesque,” saying countries such as France have more of a problem with obesity than with anorexia.

Models wore black and turquoise eyeliner, their straight blonde hair fringed and cut to one side, wearing a collection that was predominantly black and white.

The designer last year revealed the secrets of his weight loss regime in “The Karl Lagerfeld Diet,” a book co-written with his physician, Dr. Jean-Claude Houdret.

In the book, Lagerfeld confesses that his motivation for losing weight was not health but vanity — he wanted to fit into the ultra-slim suits made fashionable by Dior menswear designer Hedi Slimane.
