Swimwear for Spring Break
Just in time for spring break, retailers are supplying hot and new swimsuits for women and men with favorite looks for everyone.
For guys, look handsome and casual in long board shorts for swim this season, which is a classic and modern look for all ages.
For ladies, the trends this year are girly, retro and bold, with focus on halter tops, hipster bottoms, and the new one piece with cutouts on the sides for an exotic look.
Also, designers like Betsey Johnson ($66 to $98) added ruffles and eyelets on bikini tops and swim skirts to add femininity. Johnson’s looks were inspired by lingerie with a leopard and pink ensemble by lace-like material. The retro look of the 1940s returned in preppy stripes, polka dots and nautical colors on tankini tops.
For the guys, various styles this season are vintage-inspired by the big and bold lines of the ’60s with bright and natural colored stripes and contrasting colors.
This spring and summer, W Swimwear ($48 to $88) was inspired by the trendy kimonos from the fall. W Swimwear showcases Asian print tankinis, foil graphics with dragons, and kimono patterns in red, which is a popular color this year.
Mens swimwear flaunts graphics too, like tropical patterns inspired by the islands and with drawstrings for comfort.
Be sure to look for zebra prints in swimwear by Kenneth Cole Reaction ($46 to $62) along with paisley and global prints by numerous designers such as Roxy at everythingbutwater.com.
