VIP Feelings 3rd Lingerie Designer Award 2007. February 22nd 2007: VIP Group took the opportunity to sponsor a larger than life award to create more awareness amongst the young urban woman, and also to tap the huge pool of creative talent in the country that has always been the hallmark of the VIP group through its reputed brands. Into its third year now, this contest was open only to students attending courses in textile and fashion designing from institutes in India. The contestants send in six of their design samples to be judged by an eminent panel of judges. The themes given to the contestants were 1) Mystique of the Orient & 2) Night Glamour. They had to showcase 3 designs in each of the theme. The designs were not only glamour’s but bold and sensuous. The judges present for the event were Ms. Meher Castellino-Fashion writer and Fashion Consultant. Mr. Sunil Pathare- VIP, Mr. Pravin Dabbas ? Actor & Photographer, Ms Sanjitha Prasad- INT Buyer, Faculties & Merchandiser. Ms. Anshita Asnani Eminent Beach wear designer BRAND CORAL & Ameet Gaurr ? Actor & Model. On this occasion Mr Sunil Pathare’s quotes “I have always believed that the inner wear fashion styles are not just adopted by the elite class but its welcome and well spread amongst anyone who desires. I wanted to start a crusade in the life of these young students life - to dare to be their best. Hence I have continued to sponsor this event 3 years in a row.” The 3rd VIP Feelings Lingerie Designer Award, was given to five deserving designers, among the 150 students that participated from all over India. The Winner took the Best Lingerie Designer Award and got a Trophy + Rs. 25,000/- , the Second prize was Rs 15,000/- + Trophy, and Third prize was 10,000/- + Trophy. The fourth and fifth Runners up took home Rs. 5,000/- in prize besides trophies and Certificates.
