Bikini Secrets of the Miss USA Pageant
The secrets to pageant-perfect bods from the ladies of Miss USA!
You probably saw them strutting their stuff in high heels and teeny weeny bikinis during Friday night’s Miss USA pageant. So how did these beauty contestants get those super-flat abs and tiny waists? Diets, squats and, for some, the occasional ziti binge!
“I was on a very strict diet plan,” Miss Maine tells us. “I had a nutritionist and a trainer.”
“I had to cut out my pasta, my dessert,” says Miss Illinois, while Miss New York confesses that diets aren’t for her: “I work out three hours a day. I don’t want to starve myself!”
Yep, the secret to pageant-perfect bods generally comes down to good, ol’ sensible eating and exercise. But before walking out in front of millions of eagle-eye viewers, each of the contestants confesses they have their own secret rituals to give them that last-minute tone-up.
“Right before you go onstage for the bathing suit competition,” reveals Miss California, “it’s always good to do, like, a couple squats or to kind of bend sideways, because it actually makes your muscles pop out so it looks like you just got off the treadmill.”
Then again, there are those super-skinny ladies with the naturally high metabolisms — the gals we love to hate — who eat whatever they want and still look pin-thin!
“I had ziti last night, I had bread, I had filet, I eat a lot,” reveals Miss Nevada.
Turns out 21-year-old RACHEL SMITH of Tennessee was voted Miss USA 2007. But both Miss California and Miss “Bread and Pasta” Nevada made it to the finals!
