The Cumberland Museum says it has an amazing collection of wedding dresses for its annual heritage fashion show May 14.

Many of the borrowed wedding gowns, some dating back to the turn of the century, come with personal stories of the bride and groom’s special day, memories of their honeymoon, and surprise or unexpected events that happened on their wedding day.

You will enjoy a collection of photographs, invitations, newspaper announcements, and other memorabilia that the brides have kept stored away in albums and trunks.

Along with the fascinating show of heritage wedding attire, attendees will enjoy games, prizes, refreshments and tasty desserts.

Doors at the Cumberland Cultural Centre open at 6:30 p.m., the show starts at 7.

Tickets are $10 each and are on sale at the Cumberland Museum.
