The figurative “they” say you should dress for the “part” (also figurative) you want. That part could be a job, a role, a reputation, a lifestyle — anything. Though it may not seem right, you are judged by your appearance, especially by people who don’t know you. Can you blame them? It’s all they have to go off of before they actually talk to you or get to know you.

Embrace it. It can work to your advantage.

People project energy and that is largely based on how they feel. Ladies, if you put on a fun dress that makes you feel confident and sexy, how do you think you’re going to carry yourself in that outfit? Exactly — like the confident and sexy being you feel you are. Men, if you put on a suit that makes you feel powerful, you’re going to project power. Those of you who are reading this, thinking ill thoughts, I want you to test out the theory. Look through your closet and find an outfit that makes you feel something, be it sexy, flirty, conservative, smart. Wear it when you want it to work its magic and see what happens
